My debut children's book Muddy Puddle is a story about when life changes suddenly and we're not ready. Whether this change be as vast as a global pandemic, intimate as family relationship changes or the diagnosis of cancer, Muddy Puddle hopes to inspire children to think about how they can still exercise autonomy when life seems out of their control.

After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021, instantly our world changed and no one was ready. But what became apparent was as long as we spoke about our changing story together, and made choices where we could, we felt empowered to move through this challenging life event together. Muddy Puddle is not a story about cancer, rather a story about sudden change can be cross-applied to many changing circumstances in a child's life.
