AQUATHON AUSTRALIA | Wollongong | January 2024

In January 2023, I took to the shores of Wollongong Harbour to participate in the huge Aquathon event hosted by MMJ Realestate.  I was terrified. I wasn’t ready.  I wasn’t strong in my left shoulder after my mastectomy.  But I did it.  I proved to myself that my body is capable, strong and resilient.  I wrote more about it here.  

I am so privileged the Illawarra Mercury wanted to share my story in hope to inspire others.  In January 2024, I am back!  This time with my little girl, Neve.  I asked if she wanted to join mummy and before I could finish my sentence she jumped at the opportunity! As one of the youngest (6 years) to participate on the day, I am just oozing with pride.  

We are training now with BRAVAart by creating some wonderful asymmetrical BRA art in the water and on land!  We will be participating in support of BRAVAart on the day in hope to raise awareness for breast reconstructive options following breast surgery.
